Handwriting to calendar

Updated May 2026

Scan a handwritten calendar into iPhone Calendar

Handwritten calendars are fast to write and slow to digitize. Fridge2Cal reads handwritten notes from paper calendars and gives you editable drafts so you can fix unclear text before saving events.

Write clearly enough to review

Block letters and separated times are easier to verify than tiny cursive notes.

Include context

A short note like "dentist 3" is easier to save correctly when the calendar month and date are visible.

Review every draft

Handwriting recognition is not perfect, so Fridge2Cal puts review before sync.

Good handwritten candidates

  • Family wall calendars
  • Paper planners
  • Bullet journal monthly pages
  • Magnetic fridge calendars
  • Printed calendars with handwritten additions

Watch for ambiguity

A handwritten "Fri 8" can mean a date or a time. Review the detected drafts, add missing AM/PM details, and delete anything that should not become a reminder.

Keep paper planning. Add phone reminders.
